Glen Keane Has Left Disney

Wow--big time news in the animation industry. The legendary Glen Keane has left Walt Disney Feature Animation after 37 years. Kind of unbelievable. Even if you don't know who he is, you've seen his work. His style is reflected all over the modern Disney canon, most notably in The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Tarzan. I absolutely love the solidity of his lines when he draws and the passion he clearly puts into the craft of animation (see the video below). I wish him all the best in whatever future endeavors he decides to tackle.



P.S. Reading the Twitter-verse, you'd think he died. Get a grip, people...he's just not with Disney anymore.
